Chafik Hilal is senior vice president and general manager of Healthcare Europe for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention technologies and services that protect people and vital resources.

In his role, Hilal leads the Healthcare Europe leadership team and drives healthcare growth strategies.

Hilal joined Ecolab in January 2018 and assumed the role of senior vice president, Industrial India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) and IMEA market in June 2019.

Hilal has more than 20 years of global experience in general management, sales, marketing and product/program management. While working for Rockwell Collins, he held several management positions in France, the U.S. and United Arab Emirates, including managing director for Africa, Middle East and Turkey.

Hilal holds an MBA from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Hilal is of Moroccan descent and speaks Arabic, English and French.
